Gluedown installations tend to be a more effective method when working in large areas, especially in high-traffic applications with the ability to hold up extremely well over time.

Looselay Installations
Looselay is a popular installation method known for its quick and easy application that doesn’t require a full perimeter bond to adhere to subfloors. Instead, a combination of friction and perimeter glue allows the planks to lie firmly in place. Looselay installations are known to be one of the most DIY-friendly methods for vinyl flooring with minimal prep and clean-up required. Looselay installations are also easy to remove and re-install in another location if desired.

Engineered Wood Flooring Installations
Engineered wood flooring requires a bit more work when it comes to the floor prep and install process but offers a variety of installation methods—depending on your preference. Our engineered wood products have been precision-milled with tongue and groove construction, meaning they fit snugly together (much like puzzle pieces). This interlocking construction allows installers to choose from glue, staple or nail down methods.

Nail, Staple & Glue Installations
Similar to vinyl installations, using a gluedown method for your engineered wood floors is going to ensure a more permanent application that is better equipped to handle heavy use in more high-traffic spaces. Nail-down methods are known to provide a more heavy-duty application but must be used with a plywood subfloor for a secure attachment. Staple-down installations are very similar to the nail-down method with some slight differences and also a require a plywood subfloor.
